Wil Stegenga

Wil Stegenga:  As an artist, I hold a vision for connecting with other artists and creative people who thrive through their process of creation to interpret the realization of who we truly are. In that, I believe, we are one spirit creating life, beauty, love and art through many mediums.

Our goal at MandalaMagnets.com is to bring together, at this unique site, a space for people of all ages, locations, and consciousness to share the beauty of inspiration and art. How we live our art is of course the expression of our individuality and divine spark in the world.

Here we bring our unique qualities and project them out to the planet in an infinite array of creative expression, which encompasses every human experience, including Peace, Love and Disharmony. We all do this in our own way. This is art. Inside each and every one of us is an artist. There must be some fundamental law of humanity to validate this in some corner of our lives. Through nurturing patience, peaceful pain, and indelible ink, we can realize our nature is both human and caring.

In my heart, to be an artist is to participate through breathing in life force and breathing outward our own understanding of it all. Simply to be an artist is to commune with all that is—and all that is not. In daily routines, in commutes, in the void . . .

So many times I have heard and felt first hand, this longing for peace and union with the Divine (which some call Creator as I believe and acknowledge that we are all integral parts). This longing first inspired me as a child—driven to draw beyond my very willful mind.

In meditative solitude, or listening for Divinity, we search for the nothingness from which all creation has been born and eventually returns to—reminiscent of the seas that greet the sand, or the song of wind as it blows through the branches of a living tree—leaves that sway in their own, unique way.  Flexible. Open. Alive. Its Be-ing-ness reclaimed in its home within the greatest mystery; only to await the next blank page called life.  I am deeply reminded of a great poem I once read about this search to which we all release into the world—bittersweet—from our hearts and souls . . .

I called you in the spring
You did not come
My heart cried like fresh rain
Sudden and hard
Still as could be inside warm and dry
Longing beyond compare your wet lips on mine

I called you in the summer
You did not come
My heart dried like old wood
Cracked and brittle
Yet awaiting a glimpse of your smile
There was more than I could bear

I called you in the autumn
You did not come
My heart fell to a cold lonely ground
Tired and worn
Like leaves once green
Now brown and torn

I called you in the winter
You did not come
My heart hardened fractured
Heavy and frozen
Further betrayed to unfathomable depths
Arriving at an unrequited end

I called you in the last
You were there all the while
My heart surrendered, completely soared
Truth be told
Achieving oneness sailing we like silken wings
Upon clouds of silver and gold

MandalaMagnets.com is a safe, loving and supportive space, where one resident creator, named Wil Stegenga, truly wishes in his heart’s desire to share his gift, a gift which was given to him to give back to our universe through shape and form—through art.

MandalaMagnets.com is a co-creation and an address to accomplish my dream to live my art, with the noblest of intention and prayer, to bless and receive this process of expanding this creative space with blessings from the cosmos—depictured in ink and vibrant color—for all to see, and share, and experience.

Everyone who visits merges with us as we rejoin in the oneness and love art provides—a celebration—in the calm stillness that births my designs. Here through my art, everyone is embraced, honored, supported, loved and encouraged to fly in creative freedom and inspiration, or dig deeper into dark recesses of the mind. It’s our choice.

Visit our website again and again. Submit your own personal projects in our interactive gallery and blog for others to experience. Share your art. Share often. Meet creative types. Most of all—have fun!
